students in school A = 3600
area of school A = 1800 sq.m
no. of student in A per sq. m = 3600÷ 1800 =2

student in school B = 2400
area of school B = 800 sq. m
no. of student in B per sq. m = 2400÷ 800 =3

school A is thickly populated

School A:

Number of students = 3600

Area = 1800 m²

Find the number of students per square m:

1800 m² = 3600 students

1 m² = 3600 ÷ 1800 = 2 students

School B:

Number of students = 2400

Area = 800 m²

Find the number of students per square m:

800 m² = 2400 students

1 m² = 2400 ÷ 800 = 3 students

3 students > 2 students

School B is more populated.

Answer: School A has 2 students per square metre and School B has 3 students per square metre. School B is more populated.
