Given :  The numbers between 200 and 300, which when divided by 6, 8 or 9 leaves remainder 8 in each case

To Find : Numbers

(a) 216,288

(b) 224,296

(c) 210,240

(d) 224,288

Solution:

Number = N

N = 6A  + 8

N = 8B + 8

N = 9C  + 8

=> N -  8  = 6A = 8B = 9C

=> LCM of 6 , 8  * 9

=  72

N - 8  = 72K

=> N = 72K + 8

K     N = 72K + 8

224   ,  296

But Question is not correct because dividing by 6 will leave remainder 2 not 8

and divided by 8 will remainder 0

      224   ,  296
