the numbers xyz are repectivly proportional to 2,3,5 and the sum of xyz is 80. if the number zis given by the equation z=ax -8, then a is ?​

As it is given that x : y : z = 2 : 3 : 5

So, x = 2q

3√3 y = 3q

z = 5q

Also ,

xyz = 80

so,

2q × 3q × 5q = 80

30q^3 =80

q^3 = 80/30

q = cube root (80/30)

q = 2√6/3

x = 2 × 2√6/3 = 4√6/3

y = 3 × 2√6/3 = 6√6/3

z = 5 × 2√6/3 = 10√6/3

also,

z = ax-8

10√6/3 = a × 4√6/3 -8

a = √6 + 5 / 2
