let numerator be 3x
and
denominator be 4x

denominator is increased by 6
it means
4x+6

equation

3x........3
____=__ ('.... because of space')
4x+6...5

5(3x) = 3(4x+6)

15x = 12x+18
15x -12x = 18
3x =18
x =18/3
x = 6

numerator = 3x = 3*6=18
denominator = 4x = 4*6=24
