substitute y= x - 11 in equation (2)

x+x-11= 37

2x -11 = 37

2x= 37 + 11

2x= 48

x = 48/2

x=24 .........(3)

substitute x=24 in (1) equation

y=24 - 11

y = 13

Hence the required fraction is x/y = 24/13
