Solution:-

Let the numerator be x and denominator be y

So,the fraction will be x/y

Given

Numerator is 2 less than denominator

=> x = y - 2 -----> (1)

According to question

(x + 1) / (y + 1) =2/3

Putting value of x from equation (1)

=> (y - 2 + 1) / (y + 1) = 2/3

=> (y - 1) / (y + 1) = 2/3

=> 3y - 3 = 2y + 2

=> y = 2 + 3

=> y = 5

Using equation (1):

=> x = y - 2

=> x = 5 - 2 [putting y = 5]

=> x = 3

Therefore, the fraction is 3/5
