Let the numerator of the fraction=x
Then it's denominator=x+2
If one is added to denominator the fraction becomes 1/2
so x/x+2+1=1/2
x/x+3=1/2
2(x)=1(x+3)
2x=x+3
2x-x=3
x=3
Therefore the fraction =3/3+2
=3/5
