Let the denominator be x
so the numerator will be x-2
if 3 is added to both:
x-2+3/x+3=3/4
x+1/x+3=3/4 [Cross Multiplication]
4(x+1)=3(x+3)
4x+4=3x+9
4x-3x=9-4
1x=5 →∴x=5
numerator/denominator=x-2/x
∵x=5
5-2/5=3/5
∴The fraction is 3/5
so the numerator will be x-2
if 3 is added to both:
x-2+3/x+3=3/4
x+1/x+3=3/4 [Cross Multiplication]
4(x+1)=3(x+3)
4x+4=3x+9
4x-3x=9-4
1x=5 →∴x=5
numerator/denominator=x-2/x
∵x=5
5-2/5=3/5
∴The fraction is 3/5
