Let the numerator be x.

And the denominator = x – 2

$\frac{x}{(x - 2 )+ 1} = \frac{1}{2}$

$= > \frac{x}{x - 1} = \frac{1}{2} \\ \\ = >2 \times x = 1(x - 1) \\ \\ = > 2x = x - 1$

$= > 2x - x = - 1 \\ \\ = > x = - 1$

Numerator = – 1

And Denominator = – 1 – 2

= – 3

$hence \: the \: fraction \: = \frac{1}{3 }$
