the numerator of a fraction is 3 less than denominator if 2 is added to both the numerator and denominator the fraction becomes 5/6 find the fraction​

Answer:

if denominator is x

then numerator is x-3

now if 2 is added toh both numerator and denominator then

denominator is x+2

and numerator is x-3+2 i.e x-1

so now x-1/x+2=5/6

6(x-1)=5(x+2)

6x-6=5×+10

6x-5×=10+6

x=16

so x-3/x= 13/16
