acc. to the question:

(x-2)/(x+3) = 1/2

2x - 4 = x + 3

x = 7

denominator,x= 7

numerator, x-3= 4

original fraction= 4/7

difference between 7 and 4=3

4+1=5

7+3=10

5/10=1/2
