Let the numerator be 'x' and denominator be 'y'

A/Q --> x =y - 3, fraction --> (y - 3)/y

Now, numerator = y - 3 + 2 = y - 1
denominator = y + 5

Fraction -> (y - 1)/(y + 5) = 1/2
2y - 2 = y + 5
y = 7

x = 7 - 3 = 4

Required fraction --> 4/7

Hope This Helps You!
