Let the fraction be x/y.
The numerator of the fraction is 3 less than the denominator
Therefore
x = y - 3

If the denominator increases by 2 and the numerator decrease by 5, the fraction becomes 28/33.
So,
(x - 5)/(y + 2) = 28/33
33x - 165 = 28y + 56
33x - 28y = 165 + 56
33x - 28y = 221
Substituting the value of x = y - 3

33(y - 3) - 28y = 221
33y - 99 - 28y = 221
5y = 320
y = 64

x = 64 - 3
x = 61

The fraction is x/y = 61/64.

Hope this helps you.
