Answer:

let the numerator of the fraction be x and let the denominator be y.

according to question-

x=y-3

x+1/y+1=2/3

cross multiply

3x+3=2y+2

so, 3x-2y=-1 (eq 1)

by substituting the value of x in eq 1 we get

(y-3)3-2y=-1

3y-2y-9=-1

y=-1+9

y=8

x=y-3

x=8-3=5

so, x=5,y=8.
