Answer:

X-3/X It is original fraction

New fraction is X-3+2/X+2=X-1/X+2

new fraction is X-1/X+2

now add original fraction and new fraction

X-3/X + X-1/X+2 =29/20

 \frac{{2x}^{2}  - 2x - 3}{ {x}^{2} + 2 }  =  \frac{29}{20}

20({2x}^{2}  - 2x - 3) = 29( {x}^{2}  + 2x

40 {x}^{2}   - 40x - 120 = 29 {x}^{2}  + 58x

40 {x}^{2}  - 29 {x}^{2}  - 58x - 40x - 120 = 0

11 {x}^{2}  - 98x - 120 = 0

if we factoriz this above one we get X=10, X= -1. 0909

so that we have to choose X=10

then original factor is X-3/X

that means 10-3/10=7/10

Answer is 7/10
