(x+1)/(x-2)=7/4

Cross multiplying on Both the sides:-

4(x+1)=7(x-2)

4x+4=7x-14

7x-4x=14+4

3x=18

$x=\frac{18}{3}$

x=6

y=x-3

y=6-3

y=3

Fraction=$\frac{y}{x}$=$\frac{3}{6}$=$\frac{1}{2}$
