Given : The numerator of a fraction is 3 more than its denominator.

numerator is increased by 1 and the denominator is doubled, the fraction becomes 9/10

Solution:

Denominator = x

Numerator = x + 3

Fraction = (x + 3)/x

numerator is increased by 1 = x + 3 + 1 = x+4

denominator is doubled = 2x
