4
let we assume the denominator as x,

we know that,

numerator= 4 - x

denominator = x

by the second statement we get,

numerator = (4 - x) - 2

denominator = x +1

x +1 = 8( x+ 2)

x+1= 8x +16

7x = 15

x= 15/7

numerator = 28-15/7=13/7

therefore the fraction is ,

(13 \div 7) \div (15 \div 7)

therefore ,

fraction = 13/15
