Hii here your answer
let the denominator of required fraction Be x
then its numerator =(x-4)
(x-4)+1/x+1=1/2
=>x-3/x+1=1/2
=>2 (x-3)=x+1
=>2x-6=x+1
=>2x-x=6+1
=>x=7
denominator =7and numerator =(7-4)=3
Hence the requured fraction is 3/7.
hope its help you

let fraction = x/y
x= y-4
=y-4/y
when 1 is added to both then ans is 1/2
y-4+1/y+1=1/2
y-3/y+1=1/2
2y-6=y+1
2y-y=1+6
y=7
x= y-4
x=7-4
x=3.
I think its helpful to u .
