let the denominator be x.
hence, numerator = x-4
hence, fraction = (x-4)/x
so,
8((x-4)-2) =x+1
x-4-2= (x+1)/8
8x-48 = x+1
8x-x= 48+1
7x= 49
x=49/7
x=7
thus, fraction= (7-4)/3 =3/7
hence, numerator = x-4
hence, fraction = (x-4)/x
so,
8((x-4)-2) =x+1
x-4-2= (x+1)/8
8x-48 = x+1
8x-x= 48+1
7x= 49
x=49/7
x=7
thus, fraction= (7-4)/3 =3/7
