the numerator of a fraction is 4 less than the denominator. If 1 is added to both numerator and denominator,it becomes 1/2. Find the original fraction?

The numerator of the fraction is 3

The denominator is 7

X = y-4

X+1÷y+1 =1/2

By eliminating method

We get

X =3

Y= 3+4 = 7
