Answer:

Numerator = 1 ; Denominator = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numerator be x

let the denominator be y

So , According to que :

=> x = y - 5 -------- (1) eq

also , according to que

=> x + 4 / y + 4 = 1 / 2

now by cross multiplication we get :

=> 2 ( x + 4 ) = 1 ( y + 4 )

=> 2x + 8 = y + 4

=> 2x - y + 8 - 4 = 0

=> 2x - y - 4 = 0 ---------(2) eq

now by putting value of eq (2) in eq (1)

we get ;

=> 2 ( y - 5 ) - y + 4 = 0

=> 2y - 10 - y + 4 = 0

=> 2y - y - 10 + 4 = 0

=> y - 6 = 0

=> y = 6

Now put the value of y in eq (1)

we get ;

=> x = y - 5

=> x = 6- 5

=> x = 1

So ,

x = 1

y = 6

so our fraction become ;

1/6
