Heya friend,

------------------------------------------------------------

Let the denominator of the fraction be x. Then,

Numerator = x - 6

New numerator formed = x - 6 + 3
= x - 3

According to question,

x - 3/x = 2/3

=> 3(x - 3) = 2x

=> 3x - 9 = 2x

=> 3x - 2x = 9

=> x = 9

Hence, the denominator of the fraction is 9.

Numerator of the fraction = 9 - 6 = 3.

So, the original fraction = 3/9.

Let the numerator be x
& denominator be y

according to the question,
x=y-6......i

in case second,
x+3/y=2/3
3x-2y=9.....ii

putting the value of x in the equation ii
3x-2y=9
3(y-6)-2y=9
3y-18-2y=9
y-18=9
y=9+18
y=27

putting value of y in equation i
x=y-6
x=27-6
x=21

the required fraction is 21/27
=7/9
hope this helps you....☺
