let numerator be x
denominator be y
GIVEN,
numberator is 6 less than the denominator
x=y-6
If 1 is added to both numerator and denominator it becomes 1/2
(x+1)/(y+1)=1/2
(y-6+1)/(y+1)=1/2
(y-5)/(y+1)=1/2
2y-10=y+1
y=11
x=y-6
x=11-6
x=5
Fraction =x/y=5/11

Heya ☺
Let the denominator of a fraction be x. Then,
numerator = (x - 6)
New numerator formed = (x - 6 + 1)
= (x - 5)
New denominator formed = (x + 1)
According to question,
(x - 5)/(x + 1) = 1/2
=> 2(x - 5) = 1(x + 1)
=> 2x - 10 = x + 1
=> 2x - x = 1 + 10
=> x = 11
Hence , denominator = 11
numerator = 11 - 6 = 5
Fraction = 5/11
Thanks

=> x = 11
Hence , denominator = 11
numerator = 11 - 6 = 5
Fraction = 5/11
