let the denominator be x . Then ,

numerator = x-6

if 3 is added to numerator we get :

x-6+3 = x-3

n the. fraction becomes ;

(x-3)/x = 2/3

x-3 = 2/3× x

x-3 = 2x/3

(x-3) × 3 = 2x

3x-9 = 2x

3x-2x = 9

x = 9

thus denominator of original fraction is 9

n numerator of original fraction is 9-6 = 3

n original fraction is 3/9

this is ur required, correct answer
