And the numerator be (x- 6)

Now, according to ques.

x-6+1 / x+1. = 1/2

x-5/x+1. = 1/2

2(x-5). = x+1

2x - 10. = x+1

2x - x. = 10 + 1

x. = 11

The fraction is x-6/x = 11-6/11

= 5/11
