The numerator of a fraction is 7 less than its denominator. If 3 is added to both the numerator and denominator, the fraction becomes 1/2. Find the fraction.

Answer:

Let the denominator be x and the numerator is x-7

×-7+3/x+3=1/2

x-4/x+3=1/2

By applying cross multiplication method

x=11,x-7=4

So the fraction is 4/11
