Answer:

let the denominator of the fraction is x

then numerator is x-7

if the denominator is x+9 then numerator is (x-7+2) then the fraction is same

so,

(x-7)/x=(x-7+2)/(x+9)

=> (x-7)(x+9)=x(x-5)

=> x^2-7x+9x-63=x^2-5x

=> x^2+2x-63-x^2+5x=0

=> 7x=63

=> x=63/7

=> x=9

the fraction is (9-7)/9=2/9
