The numerator of a number is less than its denominator by 3. If the numerator becomes

three times and the denominator is increased by 20, the new number becomes 1/8. What is the

original number?​

see numerator we take x-3 and denomenetor is x okkk then next is numerator becomes 3 times 3(x-3)means numerator is 3x-9 okk and denominator is increase by 20 means denominator is be (x+20) then new no becomes 1/8 okk means 3x-9/x+20 is 1/8 means

3x-9=1

3x=1+9

3x=10

x=10/3

x=1.1

and denominator is

x+20=8

x=20+8
