The numerator of a rational number is 3 less than its denominator. If we take 3 times of numerator and increase 20 to the denominator, the new rational number will be 1/8 Find original rational number.

denominatot x + 3
if numerator becomes 3 times 3x 
denominator becomes 20 more x + 23
3x / x + 23=1/8
8 [ 3x] = 1 [x +23 ]
24x = x +23
24x - x = 23 
23x = 23 
x = 23 /23=x = 1

numerator = 1
denominator = 1 + 3 = 4 
1 /4
