The statement of above question is wrong,

The statement should be,

the numerator of fraction is 3 more than the denominator. if 1 is subtracted to both it becomes 4 by 3 find the fraction

In context to question asked,

We have to determine the value of fraction.

As per question,

It is given that,

The numerator of fraction is 3 more than the denominator.

Let the value of denominator of the fraction will be =x

So, the numerator of the fraction is x. =(x+3)

So, the fraction will be \frac{x+3}{x}

As, if 1 is subtracted from numerator and denominator it will become \frac{4}{3}.

So, value of numerator when 1 is subtracted from it will be (x+3-1) = (x+2)

Value of denominator when 1 is subtracted from it will be =(x-1)

So, value of new fraction will be =\frac{x+2}{x-1}

Hence, from above,

\frac{x+2}{x-1} = \frac{4}{3}\\3(x+2) = 4(x-1)\\=>3x+6=4x-4\\=>4x-3x = 4+6\\=>x = 10

So, value of the denominator will be 10.

So, value of the numerator will be =(-10+3) = 13

Hence, value of original fraction will be \frac{13}{10}.
