let the denominator be x.
therefore the numerator is x-2.
now, according to question,
on subtracting 4 from numerator
x-2-4=x-6.
on adding 3 to denominator
x+3.
now,
numerator/denominator=1/4
therefore,
4×numerator=denominator
4×(x-6)=x+3
4x-24=x+3
3x=27
x=9
therefore the denominator(x) is 9 .
the numerator (x-2) is 7.
therefore the fraction is numerator/denominator i.e.7/9.
hence the answer is 7/9.
hope it helps.
