Solution :

As Given that Numerator of a fraction is 3 less than its Denominator . So ,

\longmapsto\tt{Numerator=x-3}

Now ,

  • If 1 is added to both its numerator and denominator it becomes 1/2 .

\longmapsto\tt{Numerator=x-3+1=x-2}

\longmapsto\tt{Denominator=x+1}

A.T.Q :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{x-2}{x+1}=\dfrac{1}{2}}

\longmapsto\tt{2(x-2)=1(x+1)}

\longmapsto\tt{2x-4=1x+1}

\longmapsto\tt{2x-1x=1+4}

Value of x is 5 ..

As Given that Numerator of a fraction is 3 less than its Denominator . So ,

⟼ Numerator= x−3

Now ,

If 1 is added to both its numerator and denominator it becomes 1/2 .

⟼ Numerator =x−3+1= x−2

⟼ Denominator= x+1

⟼ x+1/x−2 = 2/1

⟼ 2(x−2)=1(x+1)

⟼ 2x−4= 1x+1

⟼ 2x−1x= 1+4

⟼x= 5

Value of x is 5 ..

Therefore :

⟼2

⟼Denominator= 5

So , The Fraction is 2/5 .
