Let the NUMERATOR(N) be 3x
and the DENOMINATOR(D) be 2x
NOW 3 added to N=3x+3=3(x+1)
and 2 subtracted from D =D-2=2x-2=2(x-1)
A/Q
fraction=9/4
=>3(x+1)/2(x-1)=9/4
(x+1)/(x-1)=3/2
2x+2=3x-3
Collecting the Like terms
5x=5
=>x=1
Required fraction=N/D
=3/2
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.
