Nutritional Requirements of the Body
Good morning everyone present here. I am going to expatiate on ‘Nutritional Requirements of the Body’. Health is the prerequisite for any venture. Health is wealth as all the wealth of any sort that one wants to possess can be had only if one is healthy!
Balanced and nutritious diet is the most essential factor for ensuring health and fitness. Virginia Woolf has rightly said: ‘One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.’ It is a well-established truth that balanced diet is the first prerequisite for a healthy and happy life; and health is the first prerequisite for a successful life. Only a balanced diet can provide all the essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, fibers, etc. to keep the metabolism of the body working optimally. These essential nutrients such as carbohydrates, protein, fats, water, vitamins, minerals, calcium, sodium, potassium, omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin D, etc. are the real requirements of the body.
Clinically it is proven that any deficiency of the vital vitamins and minerals may lead to serious dysfunctions leading to fatal diseases. And these essential nutrients can only be obtained from balanced and nutritious diet.
I conclude my speech by saying that we must eat nutritonally enriched diet everyday to stay healthy.
A human body requires certain nutritional values in order to grow, revive, upgrade and survive. There are seven nutrients which are very essential for the human body. They are water, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, fats, minerals and omega (fatty acids). These nutrients provide nourishment which is essential for the growth and development of the body. The diet which a human body consumes should be inclusive of these nutrients.
