the object distance of a lens is -30 cm and the image distance is -10 cm find the magnification of the lens with the help of this decide whether the size of the image is smaller or bigger than the size of the object​

Magnification= h2/h1

=-10/-30

= 1/3

As magnification is +ve and in 'p/q' form the size of the image will obviously be smaller than the object!.....

We will conclude that it is a concave lens since u=-30 and v=-10 so we can confirm it by the lens formula which will give us =-15cm focal length which means that the img is  virtual and erect we can find magnification m=+3 which means virtual and erect img  the size of the img will be 3 times  the obj mark me brainliest
