Basically Non- Cooperation movement was already on its verge before chauri chaura movement because indians were unable to resist the cloths and foreign good . And after the chauri chaura incident the movement already lost its momentum so Mahatma Gandhi decide to quit the movement.

Answer:

Gandhiji decided to withdraw the non cooperation movement due to various incident of violence perpetrated by the masses, especially the chauri chaura incident in 1922 where the people clashed with the police, settings a police station on fire. Gandhi felt that the people were not yet ready for a mass struggle,

and that satyagrahis needed to be properly trained for non violent demonstrations
