Answer: Oceanic crust is thinner and denser than continental crusts.

In the convergent plate tectonics, the two plates collide with each other. The denser and heavier plate gets sink beneath the lighter plate.  When one plate bend and slides underneath the other, the plate gets heated with the hot magma. This is known as subduction.

Oceanic crust is denser than the continental crust. On subduction, the oceanic plate usually sinks underneath the mantle and it forms a sunduction zone.
