Distance Covered = 2400-1800 = 600 km

Time = 10 Hrs

Speed = 600/10 = 60 km/hr

Distance in meter = 600*1000 = 600000

Time in Sec = 10* 3600 = 36000

Speed = 600000/36000 = 50/3 m/s

Answer:

distance covered by the car

\begin{gathered}s = 2400 - 2000 \: km \: = 400 \: km \: \\ time \: elapsed \: t \: = 8 \: h \: \\ average \: speed \: of \: car \: is \: \\ v \: av \: = \frac{s}{t} \: = \frac{400}{8h} \: km \: \\ 50 \: k m \: {h}^{ - 1} \\ 50 \: \frac{km}{h} \times \frac{1000}{1 \: km} \times \frac{1 \: km}{36 00 \: s } \\ = 13.9 \: {ms}^{ - 1} \: the \: average \: speed \ \\ of \: car \: is \: 50 \: km \: {h}^{ - 1} \: or \: 13.9 \: {ms}^{ - 1} \end{gathered}
