Heya,
Total distance covered by the car (in km) = 2400km - 2000 km
= 400 km
Total time taken taken by the car (in hrs) = 8 hrs
Average speed = Total distance covered/ total time taken
= 400km/8hr
=50 km/hr
Total distance covered by the car (in m) = 400000m
Time taken (in s) = 28800 sec
Average speed = 400000/28800
= 13.89 m/s
Hope it helps u............

Heya,
Initial reading = 2400 km
Final reading = 2000 km
Total distance covered = Final reading -Initial reading
= 2400km - 2000 km
= 400 km
Total time taken = 8 hrs
Average speed = Total distance traveled/ total time taken
= 400km/8hr
= 50 km/hr
To convert to m/s , multiply it by 5/18
50 x 5/18 = 13.89 m/s [ approx.]
Average speed = 50 km/hr = 13.89 m/s
Initial reading = 2400 km
Final reading = 2000 km
Total distance covered = Final reading -Initial reading
= 2400km - 2000 km
= 400 km
Total time taken = 8 hrs
Average speed = Total distance traveled/ total time taken
= 400km/8hr
= 50 km/hr
