The odometer of a car reads 5000 km at the start of a trip and 5420 km at the end of the trip. If the trip took 10 hr, what will be the average speed of the car in km/h and m/s?

We \:know\:\:that \:\:\:average \:speed \:is\:given\:by V_{avg}=\frac{total\:distance\:travelled}{Total\:time\:taken}

And from the statement it is clear that total time taken is 10 hrs

Total distance traveled is [5420-5000]=420km

V_{avg}=\frac{420}{10}=42km\:hr^{-1}
