because oil is lighter than the water and when we will spray water on oil fire so the oil will float on water and the fire will increase instead of decreasing .

we should not spray water on the oil fire because we all know that water is heavier and oil is lighter so oil flows on water so , if we spray water on the oil fire it get sprayed to a wide area with the help of a water ,so it is recommended that we should not spray water on oil fire.
