 \underline{Ans} :- It was the time of the war when the people of the town had to leave their village San Carlos . Everyone had walked out of the village and the last one was the Old man . He was the last and" he said that he was taking care of his animals " . He was having three animals - 4 pairs of Pigeons , cat and and two goats . He was so much beloved to his animals and was taking care of them .

The old man said that he was only taking care of animals because the old man had no family and only had those animals in his family so during the time of war the old man was worried about his animals who accompanied him when he had no family to make him happy.
