There are basically 2 types of arrangement of flowers on floral axis

1. Cymose inflorosence means arrangement of flowers on floral axis such that the floral axis terminates into a flower . Therefore there will be limited number of flowers on axis.

2. Racemose inflorosence. means arrangement of flowers on floral axis such that the floral axis do not terminate. so there will be indefinite number of flowers on floral axis.
