the ones digit of a 2-digits number is twice the tens digit. when the number formed by reversing the digit is added to the original number, the sum is 99. find the original number.​

Let the the digit at ones place to be 2x

And the digit at tens place to be x

Original number = 10(x) + 2x

= 12x

On reversing the number

New number = 10(2x) + x

= 21x

According to the questions

= Original number + new number = 99

= 21x +12x = 99

= 33x = 99

X = 3

Original number = 12*3

= 36
