Answer:

In India we have rainfall based irrigation system. Since Lencho's field was full of ripped corn, the water is what it needed! Lencho mightn't has enough money to irrigate his fields with artificial systems (like tubewell). So all he needed for his corns to ripe was a downpour or little shower.

The rain was expected by him as his harvest needed the rain the most.

  • The sentences belong to the story A Letter to God.
  • Lencho, who was regularly observing the weather, anticipated that it may rain.
  • Lencho had planted corn crops, and they had prospered.
  • Water was crucial to these crops now since they sorely need some rain. Thus, he was very much expecting the rain.
  • However, it poured severely on his field, ruining it entirely.
  • He wasn't going to be able to have any corn for the rest of the year, so he got depressed and his head was filled with grief.
