Commutativity- Rational numbers are commutative under addition and multiplication. If p and q are two rational numbers, then: Commutative law under addition says- p + q = q + p. Commutative law under multiplication says p x q = q x p.

Answer:

Addition or Multiplication

Step-by-step explanation: Commutative= 1/2+ 3/2= 4/2

                                                                       3/2+ 1/2= 4/2

                                                                    = 1/2x 3/2= 3/4

                                                                       3/2x 1/2= 3/4

                                             Associative= (1/2+ 2/2) + 3/2

                                                                 = 3/2+ 3/2= 6/2

                                                                 1/2+ (2/2 + 3/2)

                                                                 = 1/2+ 5/2= 6/2

                                                                = (1/2x 2/2)x 3/2

                                                                = 2/4x 3/2= 6/8

                                                                = 1/2x (2/2x 3/2)

                                                                = 1/2x 6/4= 6/8
