For a political party to be accorded the Opposition party status in the Lok Sabha, it has to have a minimum of 10 percent of the total strength, of the house. In other words, to be seen as the leader of opposition, the party has to get at least 55 seats.

When the percentage or number falls below this, no party is appointed as the leader of opposition.

In the last election which took place in 2014, Congress party managed to get only 44 seats, behind the BJP and it allies, which secured 336 seats. Hence, there was no leader of Opposition.

Explanation:

The opposition Party status is accorded to a political party in the Lok Sabha only if it captures at least 10 percent seats. Here the right answer is option b) 10 % seats. Here rest of the answers are eliminated. You can further discuss the same with your teacher or the peer group to have a better understanding of the same.
