the orders of the numbers in a ratio is importance. Is 3/4=4/3?.Which of the following could be correct?
a) age of father: age of son= 1:3
b) Height of car : Height of bus=1:4
c) Weight of elephant: Wieght of mouse = 2:1

(a) age of father : age of son

Its general knowledge that age of father will be more ; but the ratio comes out to be 1/3 which depict that age of son will be 3 times greater that father which is practically impossible

(c) here elephant : mouse = 2 : 1

which depeCt that wt. of elephant is twice the mouse but both these animals should have great wt. difference .

( b ) here the 1 : 4 depict that height of bus is 4 times that of car

and this case is possible
