Simply because plants belong to Kingdom Plantae and Animals belong to Kingdom Animalia . Plants are autotrophic in nature (mostly) whereas animals are heterotrophic. This leads to a necessity of a complex organ system in animals. Now coming to your question . Plants only need sunlight , water etc to make their food whereas animals have to search their food so they have various systems in their body to do so☺. hope my answer helps
